This year's workshop will feature a author and professor of American Indian Studies, Dr. Linda Grover. Her most recent book, The Dance Boots, which features short stories illustrating Native American history and culture, won the Flannery Connor Award for short fiction.Morning activities will include breakout sessions devoted to discussions of the standards related to Minnesota American Indian writers in the 2010 Minnesota English Language Arts Standards--what they are and how to implement them in the classroom.
